The procedure is simple

1. Begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums leaving only your teeth exposed.
2. Gel is applied and activated by the lamp.
3. During this time, you can relax, watch movies with our movie goggles or listen to music.
4. Finally go home with your brighter and whiter smile in about an hour.

Who may benefit from tooth whitening?

Answer: Almost anyone. However, treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. At The Dental Studio, we can determine if you are a viable candidate for tooth whitening through a thorough oral exam, including a shade assessment.

How is the exposure to the light controlled?

The procedure requires that all soft tissue in and around the mouth be protected. Protective eyewear is required during the teeth whitening procedure. Here at The Dental Studio, you can choose to wear our movie goggles instead and enjoy a movie.

How long do the results last?

By following some simple post tooth whitening care instructions, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before. To keep your teeth looking their best, we recommend flossing, brushing twice daily, and occasional touch-ups with Take-Home Tooth Whitening kits.

Is whitening safe?

Answer: Yes. Extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. As with any tooth whitening product, it is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.

Are there any side effects?

Answer: Sensitivity during the teeth whitening treatment may occur with some patients. The lamp generates minimal heat which is the usual source of discomfort. On rare occasions, minor tingling sensations are experienced immediately after the procedure, but are always temporary.
