A dental bridge is made up of 2 or more dental crowns on adjacent teeth (known as abutments). The part which replaces a missing tooth is known as a "pontic."

Dental bridges have dramatic effect on people and are more comfortable than removable dentures. They help maintain face shape, prevent teeth from drifting, restore chewing, speaking ability and your smile.

They can be used on natural teeth and dental implants.

At The Dental Studio, cosmetic dental bridges are created by developing the gum, so that the replacement tooth appears to emerge from the gum, like a natural tooth.

 

Process

The process of getting your dental crown or dental bridge is simple and involves only 2 to 3 visits.

Traditionally, crowns and bridges are made of full metal or porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM). Modern technology has allowed The Dental Studio to create all ceramic dental restorations that are strong and beautiful.

• Tooth preparation to remove decay / damage and create a good foundation.

• An impression (mould) is taken restoration

• A temporary restoration is placed

• The final restoration is created in the dental laboratory

• The dental crown or dental bridge is checked for fit and aesthetics and is cemented
